Dr. Nasrollah Pourjavady
is the emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the School of Humanities and
Literature in the University of Tehran. He studied in the U.S.
in the 1960’s and then in Tehran. He has written books and
scholarly articles, as well as lectured in various universities
and institutions on Islamic philosophy, mysticism (Sufism) and
Persian Literature. He was the founding director of Iran
University Press, a prestigious publishing house in Iran after
the Islamic revolution, until 2004.

Dr. Nasrollah Pourjavady
is currently teaching in the Department of Religious Studies at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Spring 2009)
